Tips on Packing a Winter Coat

Planning a ski vacation or a business trip to a colder climate? Preparing for the cold weather usually means bulky items which can take up quite a bit of space in your suitcase. If you are planning on traveling somewhere where you might need a few extra layers, follow these quick tips on packing a winter coat to help save space in your suitcase.

Packing a Winter Coat
  1. Zip Up the Coat. This step makes the process easier and also helps keep your coat with as few creases as possible.
  2. Fold in the Sleeves. Next fold the sleeves in backward at an angle, but not overlapping.
  3. Fold the coat in Half. Fold your winter coat along in half along the midline to keep it neat. Be sure that you end up with the front of your coat facing outward.
  4. Roll it up! Rolling your coat up allows all the extra air to escape as well as making it as small as possible to give more room inside your suitcase. Keep in mind the tighter the roll, the less amount of space it will take up in your suitcase.
  5. Secure Your Winter Coat. Use heavy duty rubber bands to secure your tight roll.

Once you get back from your trip bring your winter coat to your Greenville Dry Cleaner, FabriCare of Greenville to ensure it is cleaned properly. Limited on time? Join our Door to Door Delivery Program and we will visit your home or office.
